The National Weather Service is advising residents to be prepared for potential high winds and heavy rain through the area late Wednesday, Nov. 7 through Thursday. The storm is developing off the coast and forecast models are swaying back and forth between a track closer to the coast and one further offshore. High winds and heavy precipitation are predicted. Northern New Jersey may also experience an accumulation of wet snow. High winds and heavy rain may bring down more tree limbs and possible power outages. Cooler than normal temperatures will continue. Improving weather conditions are expected on Friday. Residents will be notified of updates and alerts via Email Blasts, postings on the web site, Nixel text messages and reverse 9-1-1 if needed.
